Does anybody have info on the Asfur Angelfish with white markings? I have seen them, but don't know if they have different care. Are they ever seen for sale in the US?

Just a color morph, otherwise identical. Maybe the typical white variation is a bit larger on average. Supposedly from an undisclosed site in the Red Sea. Only a few are said to have been collected, and my guess is that 100% of those went to the Japanese/Asian market, where they were paid top dollar (or Yen, as the case might be) for.

Hi Regina. Where have you seen these asfurs for sale, other than ezmarines. As said previously you won't see them in the states unless they find a bunch like hundreds. The last I heard they cost upwards of 3000-5000 US. Tim

My understanding (and I could be wrong) is the white ones are found further down the coast in Africa, and are obviously more rare.

Oops! I didn't word that very well. I have seen what they look like is what I wanted to say.
No, I have never actually seen one in person.

That white marked asfur is Gorgeous... I don't think I've seen a regular one in person, do they have the blue sheen as well?
a little off topic but: why do they insist on holding so many of their fish in their hands for the pics on EZmarine??

It's actually a Maculosus, not an Asfur, but still cool. Asfur's have the "electric" Blue that makes them even more stunning IMO.

They are still beautiful! It's close enough for me.
