Hellow folks - Just joined this website, I must say I am very impressed with all the information I have read today. I have been on the boards for about 6hrs today
. Anyway I think I am leaning towards the Red Sea Max setup and I was curious if these are available to be purchased anywhere in the Atlanta Area? I live up in Canton, GA just north of Atlanta. I am on sprink break this week and figured this week would be a good time to buy my stuff and start my reefing career!! I am so very excited as is my 6 yr old son! Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi there, and welcome to the boards!~

I am a fellow Atlantan (south Atlanta area) and use just about all of the Atlanta area LFS's as my "LFS".

You ought to join the Atlanta Reef Club, where it's only us local folks! On the reef club website, you will find links to all of our sponsors, which are our LFS's and you can contact them to see if they carry the Red Sea Max. Off the top of my head, I know that Einstein Aquatics in Atlanta had the Red Sea Max in stock and recently had a HUGE "Nano Tank" sale, which is where I got my 2nd tank, the 14 gallon Biocube. Because links aren't allowed here, just google "Atlanta Reef Club" and the website will pop up. Joining the reef club is only $30/year and you get a nice, credit card looking membership card that has your name and membership expiration date on it and you can take it to any of our sponsor LFS's and receive discounts, so it's totally worth it!

Good luck and hope to see you around the boards!~

I suggest you try Chris at Einstein Aquatics first. Because I KNOW he had the full set up there and is using one of them as his seahorse tank, if he doesn't have one in stock, he will order it for you and get it in stock.

Thanks Kim; I just registered over there on that board and just sent chris a message. I will likely head over there tomorrow since my wife has a tennis match at 1pm

Awesome!~ Chris is a great guy and has the best customer service. I haven't been able to find an emperor shrimp, coco worm or daisy polyps at any of the other LFS's and I sent a message to Chris about them and he placed an order for ALL of these things for me and I got them the next week!
If you go there, tell him that "Kim" from the Reef Club sent ya there and said "hello" and also check out my Aussie elegance in his 8 gallon Biocube and let me know how it's doing. He's holding it for me for when my 14 is ready for it!

On the north side of the Atlanta area, there is Aquarium Showcase in Alpharetta, and Poseidon's Reef in Flowery Branch.
A bit further south is Cappuchino Bay Aquariums and Marine Fish and Reef. All of these may or may not have your tank. Consider ordering online though... I bought my 24g nano online and saved a ton of money. LFS prices in Atlanta are outrageous for dry goods.
A couple reef club members also set up a store in Kennesaw... can't remember the name though... it's supposed to be nice.

Thanks for the other LFS. I know the name of the other store you are referring to in Kennesaw.
Einstein is $100 bucks cheaper then the best online price I have found for the Red Max as well. I will find out more as I go to these stores and see what they have in stock.
