For the time being, IMO it would be ok, but eventually you need a bigger tank. Some others wouldn't think so....Especially the tang police!!! But I would say go for it as long as it's in the back of your mind that you WILL need to upgrade your tank down the road to at least 125 gallon. Good Luck!!! :happyfish

This is the most awsome tang there is. I have one in my 90 reef tank and its doing great. I would go no smaller then a 90 gallon tank.

Its not how long its going to take the fish to out grow the tank. When you place a fish like this in a small tank it places a lot of stress on the fish. Thats why a lot of people who buy a fish for a 90 to a 125 gallon tank and put them in to small tank turn up dead in a few weeks. The Altlantic Blue Tang is my favorit fish and when some says they are getting one I realy like to let them know that this fish needs a lot of swimming room. And they eat like pigs. I will post pictures of my Tang.
