I'm a long way away from fish much less any kind of tang but i am just curious if you can keep an Atlantic Blue Tang (Acanthurus coeruleus) in a 55 gallon or do they get too large? Thanks

Hey,
Thanks for the reply. After posting i found they grow to 9.5 inches so i agree they get too big. Unfortunatly i don't plan on upgrading for a while so i guess i'll just have to hold off on them for a while. Thanks again!

A lot of people on this board have suggested don't put tangs in small tanks. It is my experince I have found that this is not always true. For the past 3 years I have had a Hippo tang that is approximately 5 inches in length in a 35 GALLON. Not one problem with this has occured. And guess what, he gets along with my kole tang that has been in there for 2 years just fine.
