ATO question

Well I finished building my auto top off system and it works just fine... One question I had though is... do you keep another heater in your resevoir? Because the water that would be topping off is not going to be the same temp.. I also thought about putting the return for the ATO on the other side of my sump in order for the water to heat a bit but that would not work because it would overfill because the water wouldn't rise right away to correspond to the float vavles... or does it just not matter because it is just a small amount of water?

Since you will be only adding small amounts of water to top off your system, it will not matter if it is not the same temp.

Odds are since your adding such a small amount it will not change the tanks temp enough to worry about.

I agree... it doesn't matter. Are you using limewater or just freshwater??

I am currently using fresh... however I may start to dose... limewater is the same as kalk... correct?? This is to keep calcium levels high and stable?? I am dosing with ionic 2.... And I know you can't mix those 2 parts together which would be nice if I could just pour some in the ato resevoir... Can you do limewater.. or kalk this way??
