Attaching A Leather To Rock

I GOT A YELLOW FUJI LEATHER THAT HAD SOME DAMAGE TO THE STALK I CUT THE THE STALK TO GET RID OF THE BAD PART . MY QUESTION IS I HAVE THE LEATHER IN MY SMALL TANK AND ITS DOIN GREAT HOW DO I GET IT TO ATTACH
TO THE ROCK CAN I GLUE THE CORAL DIRECTLY THE ROCK?
ANY IDEAS ?

What I have done is to find 2 small pieces of rock and put one on each side of the stalk, hold it all together with a rubberband and give it a few weeks.

Super glue, and run a plastic toothpick through it and rubberban the toothpick to the rock so the place where you cut it smashed against the rock.

or sew some fishing line through the stalk and around a rock.. the guy at my lfs does this.. and it works really good.. i just bought a leather off him that was attached that way
