Okay my buddy bought a tank. Cycled it added two clowns and all is well. Added some corals. Torch Coral tanked. Mushrooms are hanging on but not flourishing. Clove polyps have yet to open and its been a couple weeks. Water was tested. Calcium and alkalanity were so low that I think it was tested wrong. He is getting his water tested at a local LFS to get an accurate reading. Trites are at 0 as is ammonia. Trates are around 10ppm.
Tank is a 75g. Skimmer sump set up. 100 pounds live rock decent sized sand bed. His fish have been great. In his tank coming up on a month.
Another question. Tank was bought used. If it was ever dosed with copper would it ruin the tank corals?

Yes. they are inverts, so it would cause problems......i would think the alkalinity was more the culprit though.....
