Just found out that xbox is recalling power corrds due to a fire hazard dont have too much info but go to http://www.xbox.com/en-US/news/0502/powercordannouncement.htm
and get more info from there. if your was made before october 30 03 you can get a free power cord. Just wanted to pass on the info!

r u returning yurs? i wont. Seems like a waste of time to me. My XBOX is never on when i am not playing it and we really have nothing flammable near it anyways.

you dont have to return it they just ship you a new 1 for free.

You dont have to return it, Microsoft is banking on it. But once they announce a recall, it legally protects them, so if you don't return it, you can't sue them when your carpet catches fire and burns the place down. I'd get a new one, couldn't hurt.

Go to the site. i wish i could get a new one for mine so i could put one cord in one room and the other in the family room so i can play on my 60" tv. but i cant cuz its new.
