Yeah tires make a huge difference in your bike. But i learned the single most important thing is having your suspension dialed in by a pro. We use a shop in Washington NJ that charges $30 and it makes your bike feel completely different.
Oh and chicken strips don't make a rider. Some of the best riders i know have bigger strips then me.
Yeah, I've got to get around setting up my suspension. Right now it's in the mid setting from the factory but it's not far off. Ideally that's for around a 180 lb rider and I'm probably around 190 now with full gear.
I know chicken strips don't matter much. I hang off a bit in the corners and "kiss the mirror" so the bike lean isn't as much as some of my friends that don't lean off or actually lean up to stay horizontal pushing the bike way down. I stay away from them as I can just see them breaking traction and getting pitched into a highside.
