Hi Guys,
Well another shroom head of mine has disattached itself from its rock into oblivion. Well, I rescued it from the sand bed and tried to place it on a piece of LR with tweezers but im not hopefull.
Its not the first shroom head that has done this, maybe the second or third. Admittedly the rock was crowded with them and they seem to be in competition, and others on the rock seem ok for now, but im just worried they are all slowly going to fall off and die.
All conditions are good. T5 lighting being used.
Can someone tell me the best way to take care of these babies?
Thanks guys appreciate the help,
Tim.

Try to glue it to another rock so that it will start a new colony. Use super glue gel. HTH

Tim, good luck with them. I've had that happen and now it's almost at plague proportions. I've got shrooms popping up everywhere and trying to figure out how to thin them out. I doubt yours will die, just settle somewhere you don't really want them.

wrassecal, i know exactly where your comming from! I liked shrooms in the beginning, but now what do i do? I've got them everywhere but where i want them!!
Tim, as far as them taking off on you, you are exaxtly correct in thinking they are over crowded. This is one way they spread their colony when things get to cramped. You can get a piece of rubble rock and rubber band it loosly it for a week or so. You could also set it on a piece of rubble rock in a very calm area of your aquarium. It will attach itself eventually. :) HTH

Now Kip are you an expert on shrooms in the tank or out in the yard.....:D
Totally normal stuff here. They are mass reproducing, and if you left everything alone for a year, you would probably have a tank of shrooms. My best advice is don't put them in your tank unless you are willing to have them forever.

OK, so its not because they dont like anything in my tank?
Im quite prepared to hve them for a long time :)
Will they all abandon ship on the rock or will some stay?
Thanks!
Tim.

Tim - I bumped my mushroom thread for you. I'm not saying you are going to have the same problem I do but, it seems we usually do:D
