hello all, my name is bruce, and I am a salt water jaddict, TOO
I only wanted to try it, but after one taste, was hooked, and now, I cannot quit. I am addicted beyond hope. I lost almost everything to this hobby, my money, our fw tanks, even the kids(had to sell them for a fix)
J/K no kids to sell, but if I had any, there would be our ...........new tank.
seriously, we tried brackish for the colors and for some clwns(i know now that they cannot be kept in brackish, well anyway). After alot of poor advice from the lfs, and alot of money, we had to do soemthing wiht the tank, and we researched first, then, switched it to sw, and well, we stayed.

I had been in FW for years and was even keeping planted tanks. SW & reef just seemed like the next logical step given the increased challenge, complexity, beauty and diversity. And those same things got me hooked. Addicted for life.

I started in freshwater tanks. To me, freshwater always seemed to turn out to be like a lake with brown fish and brown appearance to everything. I moved into African Chiclids (why can't I spell chiclid??? It looks wrong!) to get some color and that branched into saltwater.
Saltwater is amazing! Almost everyday I see something new in the tank that I didn't put there. New crab. New snail, mushroom, you name it. Its fascinating!

The wife wanted a hobby so she bought a 75 gallon with all the accessories to go with it. I about had a heart attack when I saw the tab, but now I think I'm more addicted to it than she is. Who needs retirement funds anyway?:D

Competition! My friend TiJiL got a saltwater tank and I could not let it go! I am currently beating him in our 'better computer war' but he's going to be ahead in a month... Unfortunately, he has a larger number of gallons than I do still...
...but I will not give up!
