Auto pump shutoff?

i was curious if there is any way i can install a floater valve or something inside my tank or new sump to either shut off the return pump when the water gets too high in the tank or too low inside the sump? if anyone has any suggestions on a cheap floater valve or whatever or even DIY i would be very grateful.

Well if you are electronically inclined, you can build a device to do this with a float switch, relay, and a few bits of other stuff...
But if not, JBJ makes an automatic top off device that could probably be used in this application.

aquahub makes ifloat switches. If you have a controller you can hook up the ifloat to them for a simple DIY ATO.
If not, check out autotopoff, they sell a nice, cheap system.
