Is there a system where you could add your water automatically without manually adding it? I add two gallons per day and am looking for suggestions on how I can add water directly into the tank from a external reservoir. This would help when away for several days.
If you have a presure in the water line they make floats that add water like on a swamp cooler only smaller. They are around ten dollars. I ran a line directly from my ro machine to my tank w/a small float so when the water level drops pure clean ro water is added.

go to livinglava dot com and look up the setup section for float switch make you one of these and then hook it up to a powerhead in a bucket or i hooked it up to an airpump and then the airpump to a 2 and something gallon gastank that was sealed up and had another tube going up to the tank so i wouldnt have to worry about burning up a powerhead if i forget to add water and when the water does run out it makes a loud gurgling sound kinda like an alarm to let you know your fresh water is out
