I find myslef constantly falling asleep on my hw. I can stay up late but homework is so mind numbing that i just pass out.
Any ideas on how to stay awake?

Seriously though, I have the same problem. I always made flashcards or had a friend/parent quiz me. Or I say to myself, "ok, if you finish these 20 pages of reading, you get a 20 minute break". Its easier if you set goals for your self and plan the breaks.
Are you studying, reading, doing problems?
physical activety(10 to 20 pushups, some jumpin jacks, run a flight of stairs), fresh fruits n veggies and of course some coffee... proper lighting helps... if you are tired before you start then dont bother... take a qwik 15 min "nap" before you start...
breathing exercises, frequent breaks 2 stretch & eat power snacks...i agree with all... except the power-nap thing. 4some reason that just doesn't work 4me. if i go 2sleep it's gotta be 5hours straight minimum or i'm a groggy mess.

if you rest until youre almost in REM then youre gonna be groggy... if you lie down for 15 min and get a solid rest to the point that your still conscience then you will feel like you just want to keep sleeping but if you get up immediately youre gonna get a rush!!!
