when i got up this morning and went to turn the lights on in my tank i saw something that freaked me out a little till i found out what it was. something had molted in the bottom of the tank looked like a lobster with little red spots on it. I found it in the reef secrets book it is a debelius lobster. really cool looking even if all ive seen is the molt

ok so hopefully this thing can survive in a newer tank cause i cant find it to move it to one of my tanks that has been up and running for a while this came in on my live rock.

i just realized the poor lobster went through the cycle because i put the live rock in there in the beginning. hardy little thing. will it eat my little cleaner shrimps :scared: how am i suppossed to find him. book says he eats meaty food but i dont know where he is. did a search on this sight for him and the one sight i found says they need a sandy bottom i am bb does that mean i need to put a sand bed in their for a hitchhiker

i will probably be sitting in front of my tank at 3 a.m. with a flashlight waiting for movement so i can see something besides the molt

maby your LR came with just the molt? and you just noticed it now

hey dont worry about it u will eventually find summin. I jstu found this little crab yesterday and i havent added any lr to my tank for 3 months!

no the molt is in plain sight so it couldnt just have been overlooked I hope it will be alright the thread i saw said they needed excellent water paramaters and this tank is on the new side
