awsume find

Well all looking at the reef and found a whole patch {the size of a quarter} of yellow pollups growing on my live rock. What real amazing is about 6 monthes ago we had purchased a colony off line and it wasnt in the tank one night and a damn bummble bee snail ate the hole thing. I am really amazed. Also bumbble bee is in aggresive tank so this wont happen again. just wanted to share.cya...fixit

It's always cool to find something extra. Last night I was looking and I have this pink stuff with large poors that almost looks like sponge. Still trying to ID it. That would be cool if it is :)

Thanks for asking jessica, but no not really, but on a better note our tanks, I was doing some more scanning and found another small cluster of three or four on the front part of the rock .The big cluster is in the back so that would be hard to get a pic, but these little guys are right up front and, when they get bigger we will post a pic,cya...fixit..aka...tom ;)

Fixit.....good deal with the yellow polyps.....I found a single polyp several months ago and its now a colony of about 50 or so altogether............good luck with yours......plus a growing colony of small dark colored polyps with a yellow/orange center ring...they are sort of small but growing into a rather large colony....not sure but maybe sun polyps or black polyps.......great to find stuff that just shows up and expands into a real nice addition huh

I agree, but one time after floating a new coral I reached in to pull out coral and out jumps this big emerald crab ran right across my arm, first thing I think was it was a spider--OHH MY GOD I freaked I have a real hard time with spiders and, yes I hollerd not screamed just hollerd I thought blueberry was going to die laughing, just wanted to add this hope it brings a chuckle to all..cya...fixit :D

Hey NM reef it may be orange zoanthids you found.
It's awesome to find stuff. A while back I had some pulsing xenia but they all died or so I thought. I recently discovered a small patch of 4 growing on a piece of rock. :D
