yea, pretty sure the one you think is a confusa is a hydnophora.

Dangit. I scrolled all the way down to say the same thing about the Hydno and Viper already beat me to it....
Secondly adding to this thread about Hydnos-
Some are very shaggy while others are not. Someone brought up the thought that they become shaggy under extreme lighting to try and cover themselves while under more moderate lighting have very little extension. Makes sense and that answer fits with my exp but when I aw the pic I thought I would ask.
My appologies for the hijack but have either of you seen a difference between the same corals under different lighting??

Not to further the hijack, but I recently bought a hydnophora rigida and it is not fuzzy at all. I have 2x150w mh.
Some of the other species seem to be "shaggier" than others, but then I dont know what lights each were under.

mine seems to be the unshaggy species. i`ve had it since this past monday and i have it almost as high in the tank as i can get it. my tank is a 55 with aquatinics T5 5-54watts of light ...

Great tank. Looks awesome. I also love the rockwork, seems like it gives you a lot of shelves for your corals.

awsome tank i love all the color, just starting with corals hope mine looks that good someday. i really wish i could post a pic for everyone but i cant figure out how to do it
