Anyone dose with B Ionic calcium and alkalinity? I just started using this stuff and it says to dose daily. I cant see how my calcium would be getting used so much that I need to dose daily. Can anyone shed light and explain this supplement amymore?

How heavily stocked is your tank? A tank full of SPS or a tightly packed nano for instance dont have the luxury of the dilluted water vollume a conventional tank would have. A frequent water change regiment will add the routine supplements for most tanks that have the larger water/livestock volume ratios.
What do your tests show the levels at? Always better to do dosing in small gradual amounts instead of large once a month dumping sessions when using raw chemicals.
Look at your tests, adjust accordingly to hit your target.

my tank is a 55 and its got a mix of corals. My calcium was at 370 before I started dosing. Last test was 400. I guess calcium and the alkalinity substances work together with one another? I want to keep calcium around 420. I guess I will just have to learn what my tank requires with a few weeks of testing and adjust accordingly? Wifes is a 29g and i would assume the same applies for hers. I seemed to have forgotten when I made the chage a while back to RO water that the filtering would drop my calcium. I have noticed my Ph stays much more constant dosing with the alkalinity suppliment.

Bingo! Blanket statements on the backs of the bottles are mostley to prevent someone from just dumping huge amounts for a dramatic miracle change.
Keep testing and find your average draw and keep replacing it with stability to keep as solid as possible at one number.
And yes, Ca and Alk are directly related to one another in our tanks. They react with one another. This is why adding them at different times helps. it reduces the reaction as one is dilluted and the oher mixes with water volume. Not just chem against chem in full strength.
