B&W and Percs

The SWF site says Black and White clowns and Percs get along with other clownfish. I thought you could only have one kind per tank? If that's true, do you get 2 of each or just one of each?

I know you can mix b/w percs with false percs because they are both ocellarus (hope I spelled it right) clownfish. I don't think they'll get along with true perculas but they definetly will not get along with any other clownfish.

Depends on what kind of other clown you are talking about though. Some are more agressive than others.

Doesn't really matter which is bigger. I think it would work either way. Nemo is an ocellaris, and b&w clowns are ocellaris. They are the same species.

Or is Nemo a perc? Next time we put the movie on for our daughter I'll have to pause it and count his dorsal spines :D

B&W and Ocellaris are the same fish (like everyone's been saying) - just different colorations. I have a (what I call) chocolate ocellaris and a (normal) ocellaris. They're best buds.

I have a pair of Ocillaris (sp?) B & W and a pair of Perc (O & W) clownfish. They don't bother each other....except for when the small perc gets into the B &W territory....then he gets chased away...but other than that....I guess I'm lucky?

Yeah, I'm surprised you're not having more trouble with aggression. A 65 is a decent size for clowns, but it isn't so big that they'll never come into contact, as you've noticed. Probably a good idea to keep a sharp eye out in case it gets any rougher in there.
