seeing as u dont kno much else besides the fact hes a filefish, i wouldnt, depending on species and where u caught it, it may have some nasty unnative pathogens as well as other things, overall i think just leave it

I wouldnt put anything I cought in any of my tanks it can carry in lots of pathogens and diseases and risk the rest of the tank. If you have taken it out and put it in your tank already your stuck with it PLEASE DO NOT release it back into the wild it can anything in your tank back to the wild with it.

Looks like a leafy to me, but I cannot be sure. I would NOT put it with any other fish, goodness knows what it can be carrying. If you already did, then the clown will have to stay with this fish until he is safe for your tank.

put in like a QT tank and stuff and see how it goes. Leave him in there for a while. Look at the fish behavior and stuff and look at symptoms of fish diseases. If he shows any get him back where he came from. If it is fine for a couple weeks put him in. My buddy in cali has his tank and like 80 percent of them are from the ocean.

Filefish need food, I would feed 2-3 small meals per day, they eat a variety of meaty foods along with greens, you can feed Nori daily. I would guess a Planehead Filefish/Green Filefish/ Stephanolepis Hispidus, family Monacanthidae. Love the Filefish family
