Baby Hippo Tang Goes Crazy

Well I finially got the courage up to move my baby hippo tang into the big tank...she has been in a 16g QT since July 26th. We had our ups and downs, but she is now healthy and was ready to move. I have been putting it off, nervous that she would get stressed and sick again, but have a porc. puffer at lfs waiting to come home to the now 29g QT. (I felt the 16g was just to small for 6 weeks QT time.)
So did the drip acclimation with methylene blue in water so she wouldn't be as stressed. Finally put her in, she of course hid for a hour or so as I had lights off. Turned lights on, and she went CRAZY, she is having so much fun swimming in the 150g, around and through the live rock, pushing the three spot domino around telling him that this is her tank now. She basically stayed in her ship wreck and only came out to eat in the QT tank. The huma huma trigger stays back and watches, doesn't want to get involved. They are all about 2 to 2 1/2 ". If I ever had any doubts about a tang needing a big tank, she has proved to me that she is so much happier with room to SWIM, after seeing her having so much fun exercising her fins, I would never consider putting a tang in anything smaller. She actually looks like she is smiling. They may look happy and ok in a smaller tank, but they have so much more FUN in a tank with room to roam. I thank all the tang POLICE for their advice. It is because of the hippo tang and the huma huma trigger that I have my beautiful 150g.
:happyfish :cheer:
Here's to hoping that she doesn't come down with the dreaded ich, due to the move. I will never be able to get her out of the tank to treat her.

Boy, they can really cruise, cant they!!!
They are so funny at that size in a 6' tank. She'll get about 6"-10" in there probably.

They are amazing flyers aren't they. All fish swim, but those babies fly through the water. I love to watch them small in a HUGE tank too. Vary the diet to include alot of greens ie. nori sheets and she will be extremely happy.
