baby seahorse vs baby lion

I got a baby sea horse extreamly cheap from the lfs, I currently have him in a net nersurey within the reef tank. The Nursery is a hang on the side type and one of the legs that hold it up poped off with out me knowing for a few hours. of course the little sea hourse ventured out and I first I thought the lion ate him. The lion is also a baby but the seahourse would definatly fit in the lions mouth. I found the sea horse hanging on to a little branch, doing just fine.
Did I just get lucky, and posiably the lion never saw him or is there a chance that the lion just wont eat him?
I would really like to let the seahose out into the tank permenently, but if you think he will get eaten Ill wait.
Let me know what you think

You can't house a seahorse with a lion, period. No matter how big the seahorse is. And if you have a reef tank the seahorse will get stung when it hitches on corals. I have seahorses and they need to be kept in a species only tank. I tried to introduce mine to my FOWLR and they didn't do well at all, so I put them back in their own tank.

Yep, you definitely just got lucky. A Seahorse can only be housed with a handful of peaceful fish (pipefish, perhaps the more peaceful clowns), and they don't need strong current - which corals do.
