Baby Starfish

I have discovered a baby white starfish in my tank - may be a dumb question but how did it get there and anyone else ever have one?

I have had several in my refugium. They usually come in on live rock.

probley came in on LR, and its probley not a baby its just a type of starfish that stays small

Came in on live rock, live sand, or possibly the tooth fairy.
They are harmless and good scavengers.
That's why I love to cycle a tank with uncure live rock. No telling what you will find. I just moved my tank that had been set up for over a year. Found a Serpent Star, a Pistol Shrimp, and some big bristle worms.
Now... you can also get burned by introducing crabs and mantis shrimp....

Its cool to discover all the cool critters that come in the live rock but then again I also found 3 mantis shrimp lmfao!
