Baby's first ear infection

I do know one thing that can cut down on ear infections in general is breastfeeding but that is prolly too late for yours. I did it with both my kids and neither have EVER had an ear infection and all of their illnesses have been very minor. But for immediate relief, a warm compress on the ear that hurts, tylenol, an elevated sleeping position and lots of tlc will help in no time.

Ear infections suck, our little one had them her first 2 years, she had to have tubes in twice. The tubes do eventually fall out though, thus the 2 times. As to the question as to what prevents them from falling in...Don't know, but it doesn't seem to be an issue that physicians worry about. The infections seem to go away though, she hasn't had one in over a year (knock on wood).
