Back with a Nano!

Greetings, I finally have a chance to setup a 10 gallon nano reef in my apartment. So without further a due, here is my setup as of yesterday.
Specs:
10 gallon AGA 20" black aquarium
black AGA stand
black AGA glass versatop
20" 96 Watt coralife powerquad power compact light
Hagen aquaclear 201 powerhead
Seaclone 100 Hangon protein skimmer (w/maxi)
50W Visitherm heater
7 lbs. Fiji LR (for cycling purposes, minimum of 10 planned)
10 lbs. Extra fine white reef sand
Instant Ocean Salt Mix
RO water
hang on suction thermometer
What I have planned is to add a few inverts (mostly snails), and then have yellow polyps, green star polyps, a candy cane coral, some pulsing xenia, zooanthids, and maybe another coral or two. No fish are planned for the system currently, but that might change to have a small goby later on or something.

3. I decided to kick start the cycle with at least 2/3 of LR, but I wanted to be able to put in a small amount at the end to help seed this without causing a minicycle.
As you can see, here's a little hitchhiker starfish missing some legs (wasn't me).

5. Full tank shot with the lights on.
Yes, the fixture is backwards to reach a different socket because I haven't yet bought an outlet strip.
I am pleased with the appearance of the quad 50/50, not too pink in color which is good.

7. Again, gotta turn the lights around and manage those powerchords, however the seaclone is already breaking in and pulling up some crud.

8. After 12 hours, lots of these little guys came out of the LR and start borrowing into the sandbed, they came out on top at night, and I turned on the lights and got a quick shot.
Not sure of this, but are they small "bristleworms"?

Thanks for your interest, I hope you get as much enjoyment from this hobby as I do. I will post pictures at the end of the cycle when I add a few smaller pieces, and then further down the road, cleanup crew and the first corals. Later.

Nice nano! I like how you set it up with just a skimmer instead one of those hot filters. Everything is looking good!:D Once you get cycled you good at a little 12'' hang on back refugium, look on ---- they are pretty cheap.

HappyReef - What kind of sand did you use? It is live sand right? Where did you get it? I really like the looks of it.
Everything looks good so far!!!

Sorry for the absence, work.
Thank you everyone for the comments, it is almost finished cycling. So close . . .
AlohaMI - I bought two 5 lb. bags of basic, fine grade, silica free "premium reef sand" from a local pet supplies plus.
I would never buy live sand, just buy regular aragonite or some other fine reef sane, and then seed it with your LR and then a cup of sand and debris from one of the holding tanks at your LFS store if possible, much cheaper and you get actual worms and pods that way, where with the "live sand" its just got bacteria to help jumpstart the cycle if I understand correctly.
