Background effect I guess?

ok kind of a weird question I guess. but I got a 3-d looking back ground and when I got it it looked sweet. I put it on the tank and got it as tight as I could, but the 3-d effect was gone so I just left it alone. well I was doing my top off and got a little water on the back side of the tank between the background and the glass. well it made it look better than at the store, it really did look 3-d like the water just sealed the gap and made it look like it should. my question is how can I make it look like that all the time without using water?is there something they sell? if not someone should make something for that.

almost like a non drying gel I guess that could be spread on the background

Ive read that you can you regular dish soap and rub it on the back of the glass then stick the background to it and it should make it stick...just a trick that ive heard of.

i've had that happen before with regular backgrounds too. i've read of somepeople who use a spray adheisive (SP???) to stick the background on and the use something flat to swipe out all the air bubbles. i guess if you get the right spray it is very easily removed and replaced with a new background.
have fun!
