Background Question

On my tank i have a black background and love it. Seems that the majority of people dont use the backgrounds but actually spraypaint the back of the tank black or whatever color.
Why do you guys paint instead of just taping a background to the back?

Biggest problem I've run into is salt creep between the background and the tank...starts to look after a while!

I've always thought it was a pain when water got inbetween it & the glass. Also IMO spray paint looks better. I think even with spray paint you can just take a razor blade & scrape it off to remove it.
