Background

I am thinking of purchasing a used marine tank. It has a horrendous powder blue background. Does anyone know how to remove the painted background from the tank?
Any suggestions would be helpful

you can easily scrape it off with a good razor blade that has a handle. the local hardware store has them. then paint it what ever color you like.
my first tank i bought the foam board at walmart and taped it to the back. that way i could peek behind the rock. but i have since painted it black.
ps) after scraping it figure out which side of the tank has the least scratches and use that for the front. used tanks tend to be scratched.
