ok well i went to the lfs today and i saw a "mated" pair of true percs. i have no idea to tell whether or not they are a mated pair. anyways, along with this pair came a purple-tipped condy anenome. The whole kit-n-kaboodle was $115. now, my initial reaction was disbelief at this rip off.... and well it still is lol. ok well what do u guys out there think?

The rip-off part is that they come with a Condylactus Anemone.........that is like the White Castle Box of all homes for Clownfish. :D
I have seen mated pairs of fish sell for very high numbers. $115 for that combo is a little out sight in my neck of the woods. Maybe $50-$60 at most.
It isn't all that hard to get a breed-able pair of clowns......just takes some patience.
If you were interested in them......I would wait to see if they start to breed......if they are a mated pair, they will probably produce eggs every few weeks.

An anemone needs metal hallide lighting, without which they will die and when they do they relase a toxin that will kill everything the tank. You do not have to have an anemone to have clown fish. Lesley
