I knew Bahama Stars were carnivorous. I knew they will eat just about anything, including anemones and corals. I knew they inverted their stomache so as to eat hard to reach things. And now I know just how capable they are of killing an Octopus.
Word of the wise, never ever keep a carnivorous starfish with an Octopus. I knew I shouldn't have left it in there but it did great for 3 weeks. It tried to crawl on top of my octopus every time I fed it, and my octopus would crawl away and find somewhere to hide with its food. Apparently this time my octopus got itself wedged inbetween a rock and the starfish killed it. Stupid of me to allow the starfish to remain in the tank.
