Bamboo shark not eating anymore..

i saw a bamboo shark at the store,he was jet black... awesome!!!!!! i don't like mine anymore haha. i have a coral banded.

i can't tell if he is fatter. he doesn't look skinny. i doudt the eel is even eating them cause acouple are sitting right next to the eel for acouple hrs now and he hasn't eaten them..

did you try cutting the tail of the shrimp to make it easyer to catch? I have a few bamboo's they are awsome when they are small their coloration is great.

wanna trade for a 18inch coral banded- haha. well i just woke up and i still see some shrimp in the tank. i put three dozen in the tank for him.

yes thats the only shark i have ever kept. black tips! what size tank do you have them in? how big are they? how long have you had them. they need alot of swimming room. i love the looks of the leopard sharks.. they are way to big for me to care for though. i always see them in small 100 an some gal tanks and the sharks are a good 4foot and have to swim moreless in a circle. poor things

My tank is like 600 gal its a 10 foot diamiter circle and 1.5 foot deep. ill try to get some pics. its horrable what people do to sharks.

At least you got him back eating again. try feeding him frozen food one night and see if he will eat it.

i would think for your black tips you would need a larger tank? don't they get 15ft? okay i will try that. i removed acouple shrimp and put them back in freshwater and will give him the rest tomorrow. wonder what his reason for losing his taste for all my foods was? must have gotten board and wanted to eat live?

yea they get huge but they are slow growers mine are all about 2 foot long by the time they are 4 foot i will have a huge tank. sometimes sharks do strange things and we dont know alot about them we are just now starting to unravel some of their many secrets but were getting there. did you feed him the same thing every day or go down the list with the frozen foods?

well he only ate two pieces of the frozen squid i put in the tank lastnight soaked in vits and garlic. i'm not buying anymore food i have a freezer full of stuff he doesn't want to eat.
