About feeding the bamboo... how large is the bamboo? Anything that is newly hatched usually take a few days before they eat. If the bamboo is feeding, and I can not stress this enough, do not feed it anything that dows not live the ocean. That means nothing from the land or freshwater. If you feed the shark something like smelt. goldfish, etc... the shark will usually come down with wasting in about a year. Then you get the joy of watching you shark slowly die.
SO here is the trick, run to the store and get something from the whole squid family. I've never seem a shark that will eat frozen not go nuts over this stuff. The other thing is, get the shark of live as soon as possible and don't do back to it. It will make things easier for you in the long run. As for normal feeds, you should change the diet at every feeding. There is a commerical shark food... shark bites... it's great for when the shark is young. Once the shark gets a little bigger go with commerical seafood.
Use a feeding stick, or you hand... yes I hand feed my sharks. In the beginning your shark may want to have the food taken to it's mouth. They can be lazy at time... After some time, it will associate you with food and come out when ever it sees you.
If you need any other info.... you know where to look.
