This is exactly what I been talking about, you one of those species ton name professionally attached to it but however your eel grows a maximum of 6' and you it the eel wack and no other coloration for which I had tow thoughts to what type of species it be.
This eel will feed on larger crabs when it grows and other crustacean as well as fish this is of course is the eel you think, for all I see is a body shot and not the head as well it be a young juvenile at its early stages of body coloration. I am sure that you understand why I mean here. you think perhaps we could see a close up of its head and jaw?
And as well, if you do have the eel you described it is the third time that I know of anyone who had this species which indeed makes it rare. But if i not said already, that any number of species at that size can and could appear to look a like and that I hope you did manage to had made positive identification.
And indeed they are beautiful

Thats the eel i have been looking at!! Yours is beautiful! How long have you had it? The reading i have done says it should be a mellow species, this is what i have found- Considered the Holy Grail of Morays, this rare eel is always in demand. Be sure to jump on them fast when available! This species is generally mild mannered for a moray, although like most eels, it may eat fish it can swallow. It usually does well with other eels of similar size. It is not unusual for eels to fast for several weeks or even longer before they begin feeding in a new tank. Thanks again for the research!

I have only had him for about 5 months. The guy that had it before me said it was about 2 years old. They only get like 2 feet long. He is my favorite thing in the tank.
