Banded Cat Shark Ate Already!!!

My egg hatched overnight, and to my surprise he ate today at my first offering. I purchased some raw frozen squid which he tore up. He is currently staying in a 125 all by himself. I just wanted to share my good news.

thats great!!! i hatched one and it never ate... i have had atleast 3 of them and i have only had one of them eat and continue to eat!!! good luck with your new pet!!

mine hatched 4 weeks ago today - we haven't actually seen him eat, but he's alive & well & becoming more visable - so we can only assume he's eating.

Mine is tearing up the frozen squid. As soon as I lower it into the tank on the stick, he starts stirring up sand in the back of the tank. I feed him two small pieces per day.

got mine to eat some krill before i left work - i'm happy now & he appears to be too

How big is it now? And how long can it stay in a 90 gallon?
I'll want to set up a aggressive tank in the future.

He is around 7 inches and is in a 125. I plan on getting a 300 for my birthday in July so he'll have a nice new home. From what I've gathered, I probably shouldn't keep him in the 125 for more than 1 year.
