banded cat shark

anybody have any experience with a banded cat shark. if so what can i put with him...and what can i expect as far as hardyness and personality. i've read about them and alls they keep saying is the hardest part is getting them to eat

Try posting this in the aggressive forum, several people there have kept these sharks and could offer you more assistance.

They will outgrow the 100g and are potential bulldozers, IME. Once they do eat, they have the potential to grow quite rapidly.

My GF gots one. She hatched it from an eggcase. I recall the thing didn't eat for like a week, then just started eating. She started it on squid and shrimp. Its about 12-14" long now. I like the bulldozer analogy, clumsey as heck, and moves alot of substrate around.

Also, they tend to prefer lower light - or at least are more active nocturnally. The other thing I would not count on is being able to trade it in somewhere when they hit 2' or more.

everyones different but i got the o.k from board members to keep
1 v.lion
1 cali ray
1 banded shark
and 1 zebra eel
thats all i want and all the bioload the tank will handle, so that should be along the lines of your 260, also i dont know if you wanted more fish that my setup...(as in tangs or whatever) instead of rays, eels, ans sharks
