my coral banded guted a cleaner within an hour but it has been in the tank for almost a year with a chrismas wrasse and a snowflake eel so it maybe tougher than most, but the cb are usually more aggressive so putting the cleaner in 1st might increase the chances of sucess
i've had cleaners and cb(gold) in the same tank before and they didn't fight or challenge each other. A couple of nights i saw them sitting together within reach of each other and nothing happened but i put the cleaner in first.
I have a fire, two cleaners, 2 pistols, 1 pepp, 4 sexys and 1 cb (blue). They seem to get along fine. Basically they all have their own areas where they like to hang.
I have a 90gal reef with a Coral Bnaded and Cleaner every so often the Coral banded will try and take a snap at my cleaner but that is as far as it goes. They live fairly happy together.
I have both in a 24 gallon pod, and they dont even notice each other. My GCBS is never out however, he is always in the back hiding. Wish he would come out now and then
