Anyone have one of these? The LFS here has a couple in for like $50. I have done some research and I guess they are reef safe, and the $50 seems like a good price (I saw one place online that had them for $100). I'd really like to hear people's experiences with them.
Thanks

P.S. Supposedly these are rare in the aquarium trade (so I've read), so I thought I'd post their other common and their scientific names in case people know them by something else. They are also called the Arrowhead Pygmy Wrasse. The scientific name is Wetmorella albofasciata. Very cool looking fish.... Any more info?

The "seldom seen" "rarely collected" ;) arrowhead pigmy wrasse is misidentified as Wetmorella albofasciata.
The fish in the picture is really a juvenille Wetmorella nigropinnata. It will lose the two pale bars on the body.
These wrasse' are somewhat "secretive" which leads me to think they may spend most of their time hiding during the day. Although that is more of a guess/opinion on my part than fact. They feed on benthic invertabrates (inverts that live or dwell on the bottom...pods and bugs).
My guess (geeez thats two) would be that they would or could be a tough acclimation similar to some of the live feeders like the leopard wrasse or other Macropharyngodon sp.
I would suggest only adding one to a mature tank with other non aggressors and a tight lid to prevent jumping.
