This guy has somehow escaped my attention for years now. This is the very first time I've saw him. He looks a lot like a large bristleworm, but if you look closely, there are no bristles. Sorry, I couldn't get a head shot, but I suppose I was lucky to see him at all. I haven't really added any new rocks or anything in several years....with that said......here's the new guy...

I couldn't get much more macro on him, but here's an enlarged shot for a slightly better look at the appendages?

Just a stab in the dark Sammy but Clam worm? Maybe not though if you have never seen this guy swimming around in your tank. Did you get a look at its head?

Sammy, That's a new one to me. It appears to be a polychaete (Bristle worm) but I need to know how many antenna it has. I would guess it would have 5. I also believe it probably eats some type of soft coral but watch it closely cause that's just a wag.
I'll have time later in the week to look. Perhaps Dr. Ron might be familiar with this one.

bdhough, I believe that is just part of the foraminiferans that are all around it. I took a good look at that when I noticed it too.
Bang Guy, I'll try to get a head shot if he comes back out, but I don't know if he will.
Thanks for the help guys. Thomas' guess lead me to ragworms, which seem a possibility???
