Bangaii Cardinal Picky Eater

I just got a new Bangaii Cardinal. The only other fish I have are two clowns. I have been alternating feeding Formula-1 frozen, Mysis Shrimp frozen, and spectra flakes. My two clowns will eat anything, anytime. They are always hungry. My Cardinal seems to always be hungry too. However, he just spits the flakes and formula-1 out and will not eat it. He only likes the mysis shrimp. Is there anything else he will eat. Is feeding him only mysis shrimp ok??
I also have a question on these foods. I have read that flake only cannot support freshwater fish. The crude protein in the flakes is 49% so why can it not support fish? I have heard the same thing about mysis shrimp. However the package of shrimp I have says it is 69% protein. Sounds like it should be good to me??

best to feed a variety but if you can't or dont you'll be fine
Might want to try brine or herbivore cubes

Also try some cyclo-peeze frozen. Remember they are meat eaters.

Mine only eat forzen foods.

thanks for the info guys. so you say yours eat cylop-eeze. Is there any difference in this stuff when it is frozen or in waffers. I don't think mine LFS has this stuff. I see the wafers online in several places. You said frozen is available too? The cardinal's like frozen the best?
