Banggai Cardinals

I have 2 cardinals and have read that if they are not male and female then one will kill the other. Has anyone had any experience with these type fish? I am experiencing the older bc chasing the newest one around. Just hope someone has had some experince with them. These fish are great with others and not very territorial.

I've had a number of the cardinals over the past 5 months or so. I've experienced the same thing, a dominate cardinal who will attack and kill other cardinals. I recently added 2 new cardinals and the dominate one took a liking to one of the new ones and killed the other one. I don't know if this is a male/female pair or not. I read somewhere that you can tell by the fins, but I don't see any differance. I would also appreciate any addtional info if available.

I had a cardinal with no problems. It got along great with all of my other fish. I did not however have 2 of them. Take it for what it is worth. Craig
