Just wondering if anyone is keeping banner fish in a reef?
I really like these fish and wondered if they would be safe for reef tanks?
I have just started in earnest to aquire corals and move into reefin'. I love
lots of color and movement, and I would like to keep some schooling fish. I
have heard that bannerfish are great for schooling in large tanks, and not
too difficult to keep as well.
Thanks for any advice in advance.

Theres about 8 different species of Heniochus Bannerfish. One of the most reef safe and hardiest is the H. diphreutes. Does best in groups and are peacefull, grows to about 7 inches.
Most Bannerfish are not very safe for a reef like the H. acuminatus that looks almost just like the H.
diphreutes. Be carefull and make sure which one your getting.

Thanks,
I will look into getting some...
I have also thought about anthias...I do like their colors and schooling ability..
They do seem to be much more tempermental to house and can be quite expensive.
But than again, what isn't expensive in the oh so loved hobby of ours?
Good luck, David
