barnacle thing hot glued together?

i bought these barnacles that i found in a souviner shop for my blennys to live in. they were hot glued together, will the glue hurt my tank? would it work to boil the barnacles before putting them in my tank?

Not sure about the glue, but it should be easy to break that off. If they are in their natural state (no added glaze, dye, paint, etc., etc.) then they should be the same as picking up empty shells from the beach. Make sure to boil before you add though. Wait for a few other opinions, I am not 100% certain. Bump for ya. :thinking:
