I when fishing once out of New Port Beach and I caught atleast 10 Barracudas. Why would you want one. They were atleast 4 feet long and but up a good fight. I would think they would like a open waters and will eat anything that they can get their mouths on.

Very true. Just look at how they are built. This fish is a sleek predator that needs open swimming room.

They are a terrible fish to keep in captivity in hobbyist tanks, IMO. They are very nice in extremely large tanks (think tens of thousands of gallons), but even then you will often see them with bashed in "noses" where they swam into the glass. Quite unfortunate. But this is defnitely a fish to have a "plan" for what you will do with it, should it survive.

Hate to jump the bandwagon, but the fish is just going to sit there with a blank stare, not much fun to watch unless it's feeding time

Barracuda ?!?! What the ?!?! Yeah go ahead put one in and watch him stare into space until feedingtime ! Oh - make sure you're not wearing a watch ... they go after stuff that are shiny.
