Well i went to the guys house to pick him up and he had all sorts or softies lps and sps. The only thing he would nip at was the xenia which the previous owner was very fond of. Hes been in my tank for a few days and hes really really shy...doesnt come out as much.

Are these fish usually this shy? Its been a week or so and he still hides. He barely eats too. Is there anything i can do to make him come out more? Ever since i put him in my tank my other fish hide and never come out as well.

Maybe you could put a nice new juicy Xenia right in front of the glass and watch him come out in eat it...LOL
Only kidding, I couldnt resist ...
I am having troubles with my greenbird, so I feel ya...

I've found them to be somewhat suspicious - in personality that is. Can be just a little bit skitish sometimes, often playing it safe and hiding...but give him time. I suspect he'll get used to things.

Well he moved to the other side with my damsel but still refuses to come out. He stopped eating as well. I might just buy some xenia for if itll make him come out and eat. I dhate for him to die.
