Barry Bond's ball to have an asterisk

I guess that's settled. Not necessarily the official baseball verdict, but the owner of the ball asked the fan's and that's what he is going to do to the ball before he give's it to the hall of fame. I have no opinion either way really as I have not cared for baseball since the strike some 13 years ago.

I say good. Barry Bonds doesn't deserve the credit Hank Aaron earned. It's ludicrous that the ball sold for so much, but at least it was for a good purpose

Bonds calling the buyer an idiot only merits the asterisks even more, in my opinion.

If the liar and the cheat calls another an idiot, is it necessarily true?

I think that its too bad. A record is a record. He should just send the ball to the HOF unmarked and people can argue over to put an asterisk in the record books. I mean, how many players are on steroids that aren't hitting that many home runs? Steroids don't just magically make you have to hit the ball over the fence, there's tons of mechanics involved. Barry Bonds is a great hitter, but he ruined everything by using steroids and unfortunately, people are over reacting.

Not that is a big deal or anything, but it bothers me a little. The fact that the drugs give him more stamina so he will not tire out near the end of the season like most players. The fact that Bonds is a major butthole to the fans, is why I dislike the man. Kudos for that many homers, but shame for the controversy. They should give the ball to some kids that play in their own sandlot.

I agree that steroids or not, Barry Bonds is an amazing hitter. However, it bothers me when I think about Barry Bonds and what an awful person he is in (seemingly) any other aspect. The guy who bought this ball obviously has the money to spend, and he can do what he wants. You can tell this is obvious by the probability that the option of sending the ball into space is a true suggestion rather than just a funny joke (I wish I had that money). If a kid on the field wants to emulate Hank Aaron, I say go for it, but if a kid idolizes Barry Bonds, I don't know if I would expect him/her to knock the ball out of the park or hit the ump with the bat over a bad call. Bonds just isn't someone I would want my kid to copy on OR off the field.

I love sports too much.
If it weren't for football, I don't know what I would do with my Sundays

I definitely agree with that.
