Lace Rock! Nice and excellent for base. (Wash Thoroughly) $1 per pound!
Myself and some friends/family all go there for base rock.

I need a lot more base rock for my tank, and I am tired of paying up to 6$ lb + at most places in Jacksonville. I would have never thought of going to Reeds and Rocks but I must pass by the place every day. What do I do to clean the rock ("wash throughly") as you said before I put it in my tank? Use any specific cleaners or leave out for a certain amount of time?
Thanks so much, I look forward to going there.

I bleach mine in a bucket after a wash with the hose outside....Let it sit in bleach overnight, The dump it and let it sit in hot freshwater the whole day. Then a last rinse with the hose and in the tank it gos. Make sure to wash out all the indentations and "caves" with a spayer on the hose each time.
I've had no problems at all with this method.

"Crap Rock"? Nice thing to say about beautiful porous rock you have never seen. And WOW, 10% off? So it's only $1.80 per pound.....Wow!
How hard is it to wash some nice rock and save .80 cents per pound?
Sounds like a pushy sales rep to me.

Seems I have more of a life than you do already since I don't resort to insulting people as you have done to me. Immaturity is obvious in your posts.
Don't worry, I won't rain on your sales drive again because I won't bother responding to threads you post in. I have better things to do than argue with immaturity.
