base rock vs live rock

in your opinion would u use all live rock or would you use Some base rock and live rock?
i hav a big chunk of base rock and dont know if i should keep it in my tank or if i should take it out???

If you can wait a few months for the live rock to seed the base, save some money and buy a mix of excellent quality LR and a lot of base rock.

Yup. Base rock will eventualy become live rock over time.
You just have to be patient.

so far my mix is coming along well... its been about 3 weeks and the rock has begun to darken up

100 LBS Base
