Basement bathroom diy?

I was wondering if anyone here has had a basement bathroom installed, or installed one themself. I would like to do this myself as I am pretty handy, but am wondering what others experiences were. Thanks!

Well I did ours several years ago, gutted it, then started by installing concrete backer board around the shower, tiled it all in and installed matching floor tile. Pretty straight forward proceedure. The bathroom wa pretty small and took me about a month at my pace. Not difficult, just time consuming like everything else.

As long as you have a sewage pit your set, this is different than your sump pump pit.
Its just like doing the upstairs bathroom, I raised my floor ~8" (bathroom only) so i didnt have to bust up the concrete, my wife decided to move the bathroom to the other side of the basement when we remodeled
