basic additives

I've had a 10 gallon for about 2 years now, with 10 lbs live rock, with 2 fish and mushrooms and a clove polyp rock....no hard corals. There is a great deal of coraline algea.
65X2 watt 50/50 PC light, basic filter, power heads - no protein skimmer.
I guess my quesiton is:
What absolute bare bones, basic additives should I be adding into my tank?
Currently I'm not adding anything.
Should I at least be adding iodine?
Thanks for the help

I wouldn't dream of having corals without kalkwasser and C Balance, but with a tank that small, it may be too much of a risk, because your pH could plunge rapidly.

If everything is working like you want it to be then don't change anything.
If you find corals growing slowly then you should test Calcium and Alkalinity. If they are low fine an additive that is convenient for you or just do more water changes.

Additives are not all nessary your tanks been running for 2 1/2 years is there any apparent problems . You have great deal of coraline algea ,fish mushrooms I would not do anything differently additives are over rated the less you can get by with the better you are. When I started my 150 I was looking for every additive possable for my tank. I now do very little additives and tank is doing much better then ever . I would only put Calcuim. How does your calcuim test out?:joy:
