Ive been cycling for 16 days. I have a crystal sea techno flo bio 260 in my tank to clean it up. During the cycle should I be cleaing it out? I have not touched it as I figured It would be most beneficial to let the tank do its own thing for a month. BTW, I started My cycle w/fish in it. Wish I hadnt now. lol

I would not touch the filter until the cycle is over.
Why not just take the fish back, now that you realized that you wish you had not put them in there.

After 16 days I would think it's too late to think about taking the fish back - lucky they've survived. What are your parameters and what else is in the tank?

Why?? 16 days in horrible conditions is better than 17 (or more).

You're going to need to ID the rock. Not all rock is appropriate for a SW tank. Some can leech harmful minerals into your tank.
